Muppets Take Atlanta
If you’re as much of a fan of Jim Henson’s Muppets as I am, then you’ll cheer the news that the Henson family and the Jim Henson Foundation are letting The Center for Puppetry Arts display many of the puppets and props that brought The Muppets into our pop culture vernacular [NY TImes] [AJC].
We’ll be waiting until 2012 until we have a Henson wing at the The Center for Puppetry Arts, but I’m just glad that they’ll be on display somewhere instead of cold storage.
UPDATE: Video and photos of the press conference! [Thanks to Andrew and Josh Phillipson, respecitively]
I went to the press conference yesterday for the unveiling of the Kermit and a couple other pieces. I’ll be back in September when they open the first display.

That is awesome. I am kinda bummed that my kids will be like 9 and 11 and probably not be wowed by the muppets, but I know that I will be wowed. Even if I am 50.
Fantastic and yet, such a tease! I have to wait 7 years???? Then again, I’ve already waited 34. Hm.
