Not bad picks, if I do say so myself. The EARL would have been on there for just their booking and room six months ago, but now that they have Curt behind the booth the sound is consistently much, much better than in the past. Drinks priced fair too.

Trivia: Curt used to be the touring soundguy for the Polyphonic Spree. Neat, huh?

The Tabby gets on for the cool room, but the sound sure can be questionable under the balcony. Still, glad it’s here in town.

Is Shalom still doing sound at Eddie’s? He always did a good job. Haven’t been there in ages…

I concur. Curt is perhaps the wisest investment they have made to date.

New Orleans deserves more than just 1 nod.. Atlanta overweighted, due to the mag’s location. Still like the mag, but let’s be real here.

I love the fact that The Earl has gotten consistently good press and doesn’t rest on their laurels. They have really improved the PA and Curt and Jason both are awesome and accomodating to bands.

The only thing worse than the sound coming from the PA at The Tabernacle is the sound on stage!! Trust me. AWFUL!!

Lastly……….what did Smith’s do to piss off Paste?!! ;-)
