Boozin’ & Bikes

“Don’t drink and drive, that’s why I ride a bike”.

(warning, pop-ups associated with link)

Oh sweet, sweet John Hughes. Your movies kept my teen angst company and haunt me still.

When I got word that the 2nd Annual Tour de Beer was taking place at the end of the month, you were right there…in my head…with Duckie. Voices aside, here’s the blatantly plagiarized 411:

The second annual Tour de Beer is set for Saturday, February 24, from 7pm to 10 pm. This year’s brewery location is the awesome SweetWater Brewing Company.

The Tour is a fun and fundraising function for GEORGIA BIKES! — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Sample an outstanding selection of fine beers. Participate in our famed raffle and, likely added this year, silent auction (Can you say “a new bike” from CycleWorks?). Take in some hors d’oeurves and a brewery tour. Listen and dance to the live music of The Commitaphobics.

Admission is $20.00 for Members, $30 for Non-Members, and $35 for combined Joining and Admission. *The first 100 folks pre-registering will each receive, upon arrival, a $20 gift card to Free-Flite. **The first 200 folks arriving at the door will receive an event commemorative pint glass.

I loves me a commenmorative pint glass.

I just use the BevNeck aka BeerNeck from and all is good. But if you are a glass or can drinker try their CanNeck or BottleIt product.

All sorts of cool handy gadgets to making drinking easier and handsfree.
