A positive post about the Hawks
So the Hawks set all kinds of positive records in last night’s victory over the Warriors. Here are a few:
- 70 points in the first half was a season high
- A winning record in January (8-7) for the first time since April 2004
- The first winning month for head coach Mike Woodson
I mention this for a few reasons.
First, Jenn went to the game with some colleagues, so I actually watched the game at home.
Second, after the last few seasons of Hawks basketball, it’s nice to see ANY kind of positive development.
Third, why aren’t the Hawks playing this style of basketball? They have the young guns.
Fourth, a lot of local bloggers have gotten an invite to be a guest of the Hawks for this Monday’s game. Anybody going?
Fifth, I’ve used too many numbers in this post.
Additionally (not to be confused with “Sixth”), Joe Johnson should be an All-Star reserve for the Eastern Conference. Without him, the Hawks don’t win half the games they have this season.
I’ll be there! Woooo!
