Let it Faux Snow!
Let it faux snow, let it faux snow, let it faux snow! The family and I usually eat out on Friday nights. Normally, we hit somewhere close to or in our neighborhood. Last night, though, we ventured into Midtown for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and to see snow at Atlantic Station. Atlantic Station has a huge Christmas tree all lit up for the holidays, and at 7 p.m. every night (also at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays) they employ snow machines to create a winter wonderland.
I was kind of surprised at the number of young families who were there for the snow show, and while I knew my three-year-old would get into the spirit of things, I was a bit surprised to find that the faux snow show piqued my holiday cheer a bit, too. It helped that the cold front came through yesterday, too. I am thinking the snow was a little strange last week with Atlanta temps in the 70s.
For you singletons, this could make for a kooky and memorable date, too.
Funny. Last weekend the fake-snow machines didn’t work and there a bunch of sad kids. Every store we went to had people saying “It’s supposed to snow at 7, we’ve got to hurry”. Luckily I saw it the week before, but wonder what the problem was?
I was dissapointed by this… I was expecting it to be bigger and better. Its soapy foam dropping out from a box.
Terry – Sorry you were disappointed, but you weren’t expecting real snow, were you? Yes, it is not even close to the real thing, but I think it was a nice effort on their part, anyway.
