I Love a Festival
Festivals are pretty much my favorite thing ever (well, next to beer,) and so Fall in Atlanta is one of my favorite seasons. It seems like there is a festival everywhere I turn, so much so that I never have enough Saturdays to do everything i want to do. Add to that college football and Halloween and pumpkin carving and the plethora of good bands that always show their faces in the Fall, and I am one exhausted girl.
Sure enough, I won’t be in town for this one, but if I was, I would be attending the Oakhurst Art and Music Festival. Oakhurst is a vibrant neighborhood, one of my favorites in Atlanta, with a character all its own. The festival is free to the public and consists of the usual festival components: arts and crafts, jewelry, pottery, music, and food.
The festival runs this Saturday, October 14th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Oakhurst business district.
Atlanta Metroblog works! I was just thinking about fall festivals and where I could find me a good one- now I know! Any other good recommendations out there? What I REALLY want is a place I can buy me a pumpkin or two, get a carmel apple and generally give into that cozy sensory overload that is fall. A big plus, the heat is passing and this weekend promises to be crisp as an apple- any idea where should spend it?

Glad we could be of service, Sara. Great minds think alike, huh? Shaq – thanks for the bert’s suggestion. I have heard good things about it.
This weekend is also the Candler Park Fall Fest!
