GT is better than UGA

I suspect that this might antagonize some of our readers, but it should be noted that the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are ranked higher than the Univ. of Georgia Bulldogs for the first time in five years. That means, and I’m speaking from a purely objective viewpoint here, that Georgia Tech football is better than UGA football. I’m just saying.

Clearly, the AP poll is flawed when compared to the Coaches’ poll.

We’ll have empirical data as of November 25, 2006 in Athens.

seriously, who cares? rankings mean nothing. we all know GT is a better school than UGA…isn’t that the purpose of college?

Why is it that any time GA Tech has a slight advantage over UGA in something football related, every Tech fan on the planet has to talk about it? Remember a few years ago when Tech won back to back games against UGA. Well, I didn’t hear the end of it until we reestablished the natural order the next year. So, Tech fans, please enjoy this while you can. Come out of your hiding places and bask in the sun for a moment. And remember it for the next five years.

Back to Back? Tech won three in a row those years. UGA fans still talk about the national championship year (26 years ago now) as if it was yesterday.
People talk about stuff like that because they are fans, and good times are better to remember – this is not just limited to sports.
And why is it that UGA is covered ad nasuem when they are higher ranked than GT?

touché. However, I don’t count the year of the Jasper Sanks fumble.

As for the biased coverage, I concede that it’s always skewed toward UGA. The AJC is just trying to sell newspapers, and there are more UGA fans among the masses.

Normally, this would antagonize me. But after Saturday night’s game, frankly, I am too depressed to argue.
