Lack Of Braves Playoff Baseball Got You Down?
Well, another one of Atlanta’s professional sports teams starts their season tonight. The timing is perfect for jumping onto the Atlanta Thrashers bandwagon.
If you are like me (and this time that’s a good thing) you believe that this is the Thrashers’ year to make it into the playoffs.
Tonight’s game is against the Tampa Bay Lightning — face off (hockey term) occurs at 7pm down at Philips Arena.
ps – I suggest you also get down there early enough to drink at least one of the jumbo beers served in CNN Center’s food court.
Game On!
I’ll be there with George Burdell, drinking big beers and eating crappy chinese food. It’s always a challenge to get two down before the 7pm puck drop, but one I gladly face.
I’m a Flyers fan by birth, but I have followed the Thrashers since they started (even saw one of their first ever games, a preseason affair against the Preds in Columbus, Ga.) and like them as long as they don’t play the Fly guys. I think this could be their year. If they didn’t have the goalie woes early last year, they would have made it. I hope they do and I hope Atlanta supports them. Plus the Phillips Areana is a great place to see a game.
NL East Champion Mets doing quite well.. better than most Braves teams in the playoffs
@LETSGOMETS: I couldn’t have said it any better myself.

Yes, it just does not seem like fall without The Braves blowing a playoff series.
