“Dear Patsy, justice has come for you and John. Rest in peace.”

The title of the post is a reference to a note left at the Marietta gravesite of Patsy Ramsey, mother of JonBenet Ramsey.

It looks like John Mark Karr, who has family in Sandy Springs, was arrested in Thailand and admitted his guilt in JonBenet’s death.

The most chilling bit:

According to colleagues at the Thai detention center where Karr was questioned, the suspect asked police what charges he was facing. When they replied first-degree murder, he said: “No, it’s second-degree — it wasn’t intentional,” said Lt. Gen. Suwat Thamrongrisakul, chief of Thai immigration.

So a decade later the killer is caught and he’s opining on the finer points of murder charges. Fabulous.

I can remember the Christmas-time brouhaha back in 1996. Tons of former Atlanta neighbors lent their support to the Ramseys, they went on TV and eventually there were searches of their Atlanta residence.

The whole thing was cable news fodder for a couple of years and every Christmas we’d get memorials or retrospectives.

It looks like Patsy and John Ramsey have finally been exonorated, though too late for Patsy who passed away just a few months ago.

Still, the whole decades-long drama would be too long to recap, but it seems like the truth might make for an even longer read or TV movie. Only time will tell.

don’t count this case closed yet — his x-wfie says he was in Alabama at the time — not saying he’s innocent — just saying i’m not convinced after all the craziness of this case.

At some point, Karr told he a) picked her up from school and b) drugged her. Except that this was the day after Christmas (no school) and the police state she had no drugs in her system.

This guy is a nut for sure, but I don’t know if he’s guilty.
