I have been fascinated by the BeltLine project and was pleased to read on the City of Atlanta Web site that the Atlanta City Council approved a $427 million, five-year work plan for the 25-year BeltLine project this week. The city also recently purchased Bellwood Quarry, aka Westside Park. It’s going to be massive — approximately 300 acres (compared to Piedmont Park’s 185 acres) — and the “jewel” of the BeltLine.

It will be nice to have another big intown park. Here’s a Google Map of the location.
