This Sunday, The Independent is celebrating its second anniversary. (I imagine they’re avoiding the “terrible twos” jokes by going with anniversary rather than birthday.) Swing by Sunday afternoon for some corndogs, Aussie steak fries (oh, my, yes) and Strongbow, says I. It’s a hop across the street from the Dogwood Festival, in the Midtown Promenade, and the prices are probably a fair shake better.

Word is that there’ll be cake, food specials and free stuff like shirts and laughs, so don’t miss out on any of that stuff. Good times.
