    Honestly, I am not a fan. How do I tell if an article has any comments (or any new comments). I miss the comment counter.

    My two cents.

    I’m not the biggest fan either.

    I do like the total comments thing, though. The only reason I posted this was to be the 4000th comment.

    The total comments counter does not work. It’s still at 3999.

    Kent – it’s updated now. My guess is that it updates on a schedule. Never fear, though – you had comment 4000 and 4001. This is 4002.
