StoryCorps coming to Atlanta
StoryCorps, a national oral history project to instruct and inspire people to preserve each others’ stories in sound, is coming to Atlanta. The StoryCorps mobile booth travels around the country recording stories from pairs of people who interview each other. These stories are played on NPR’s Morning Edition on Fridays and is archived in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, and you get a copy on CD as well.
The Atlanta visit will take place at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site off of Auburn Ave. Reservations for the booth start on February 16th, and the recording takes place from March 2nd- March 26th.
