East Atlanta
We’re slowly discovering East Atlanta, from the Earl to Joe’s coffee shop. What am I missing? What should we do in East Atlanta?

Go to Mary’s for dancing and karaoke!
Hey what shouldn’t you do in EAV? Some suggestions from a ‘hoodie:
– Meatloaf night (Tuesday) at The Earl. It’s a hell of a slab. Go with the fried okra if you’ve never had it.
– A slice or a whole pie at Grant Central, anytime.
– Flatiron Fries
– Sneak down to the now-illegal basement at Gravity Pub (the best place to end your night)
– Do the chocolate Frappy Joe at Joe’s
– See a band, any band, in The Earl’s backroom
– Check out the funky coffee table books at Trader’s, and the funkier junk at East Atlanta Antiques
– Get a frittata at brunch at Graveyard Tavern
– Eat one of the weird pastries – if you dare – at Australian Bakery
– Get some Happy Donuts
– Check back in a couple of months when Honey’s Diner, the BBQ place and the seafood? place in the old Good News space opens.
Nothing like dancing and karaoke at east atlanta’s only gay bar. Ummm, I’ll pass.
Graveyard Tavern for panini and jazz.
If you pass on karaoke at Mary’s, you’re missing out.
Find out the nightly drink specials at La Casita (eat the food too, it’s quite tasty)
