Anyways, they weren’t the only ones duped by horrific mis-information, my heart goes out to the families who thought their loved ones were alive… terrible judgement call

I was SHOCKED to see the edition with the wrong headline still in the vending machine at the Candler Park Marta station when I returned home from work last night.
It’s one thing to jump the gun and get the headline/story wrong, but it’s something completely different to leave the story out there once you know that you’ve fucked up.

Those headlines are a symptom of a bigger problem

I think this is where “citizen journalism” and blogs take over and will continue to grow stronger over corporate owned newspapers and television stations. Sadly, the bottom line and corporate interests are what creates the news we read. It’s the “I got it first” syndrome that Bush’s cousin started at Fox years ago – remember, he’s the jerk that proclaimed Bush won Florida before the state even had a chance to count the final ballots.
