MetroFresh = Fantastic Food Festivous

Wednesday night I had the happy occasion to head down to MetroFresh to try out some of the great food they have there. I hadn’t heard about it from anyone, but it’s located next to Jersey Mike’s and two doors down from Mellow Mushroom, so if it looked completely unappetizing I knew I had other options.

MetroFresh advertises as “Fresh Food Fast.” And, well, that’s exactly what it is. Except I would add an extra F – “Fantastic Fresh Food Fast.” Yep, it was delicious. The menu changes every day, that way it stays ‘Fresh,’ but I had this great side of tomatoes with cheese and crostinos on it in a wonderful vinegar-y sauce (yeah, clearly I’m not a food writer) and a fabulously cooked tuna with wild rice. Deeeee-licious!

So, I recommend it to everyone. Because who wouldn’t want to go to a restaurant owned by Dr. McGuire from Doogie Howser? And because I’m positive that you will love it.

    Hate the loss of Lexington Chocolates though…

    My wife and I are huge fans of this place. The proprietor is a apparently a protege of Souper Jenny, but unlike SP, keeps the place open into the evening.

    We have actually had to limit our dining there to avoid the embarassment of eating every dinner there.

    The staff has great t-shirts too: “Im a Metrofreshual.”
