Hey Hay Hey
Last night I met up with a friend at the Botanical Gardens to take in the Scarecrows in the Garden exhibit, which wasn’t veryÖscary. At least not in the way it should have been.
What we found turned out to be several dozen (mainly) corporate sponsored hay-based pseudo scarecrows, the majority of which seemed to have been thrown together at the last minute without much thought. Don’t get me wrong, there were a few that were completely charming and well done, but most were blasÈ at best. These pieces of art were also, inexplicably, without lighting for viewing after sunset.
The redeeming factors of the evening seemed to be the Fest-of-Ale along with a little banjo & base jamming by “Banjolicious and Buckaroo Boys”, accompanied by watching and eavesdropping on intoxicated 30-somethings tried to hook up in a particularly odd setting.
All in all, not-so-much.
Speaking of hay… I know it’s OTP, but fun!

Well, considering I have YET to visit these famous gardens that are all of a block away from me, beer might be just the motivator for a lazy Tuesday. What’s admission to this thing? I see “$2 off” on the site, but $2 off what?
