So, I am watching the North Avenue Trade School football game on ESPN … don’t ask me why … and the announcer just said something to the effect of, “Man … the college team from Atlanta can’t get it together, the Braves got smoked last night, and, earlier today, the NFL awarded the 2010 Super Bowl to Miami. How about that?”

Seeing as how coming to the defense of my city via internet rant is the most noble and effective thing I can do, I offer the following bit of vitriol: “Well, Mr. TV announcer, who is high enough on the totem pole to be assigned the suck-ass, Thursday night ACC game, by your logic, you are the Atlanta of ESPN broadcasters.”

UPDATE: The broadcaster in question was Kirk Herbstreit. Heh.
