Peelander-z and Anime Weekend Atlanta

I just caught the “Japanes Action Comic Punk” band, Peelander-z, at a special concert at the [adult swim] Williams Street facility. The band is in town for this weekend’s Anime Weekend Atlanta going on at the Cobb Galleria.

If you have the slightest affinity for things Nipponese (manga, anime, punk rock), I heartily endorse checking them out.

Their drummer even blogs.

Where “Adult Swim’s” William Street Building? I’ve been itching to see it since I moved here. Love the AS, have ever since it started back in the day.

Williams Street is the one you can see from the freeway that has the blinky billboards, on your left if you’re headed south, between 10th and 14th. It’s across the 75/85 from the fancy new-ish Turner buildings that surround “The Mansion”. Short, nondescript orangy brick building with “TBS” still on the outside in white letters last I remember noticing…
