Why: “Revenue generated and items collected from the Heal the Hood Hurricane Relief Concert will be donated to the hardest-hit states that need a great deal of aid, including communities in southern Mississippi, southern Alabama, and New Orleans. The foundation also plans to assist evacuees that have relocated to the following areas: Atlanta, Arkansas, St. Louis and Texas. As a Mississippi-based foundation, Heal The Hood is able to get into the poorest areas to help the people by directly delivering supplies such as food, water, clothing, and necessities not fulfilled by other non-profit organizations.”
