Stroker & Hoop, an animated series about two half-competent private investigators and their talking car (named C.A.R.R.), premieres Sunday night at Midnight during Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.

The series is the co-creation of Atlanta writer/illustrator Chris Kelly. Kelly has been a Cartoon Networker for the better part of a decade. In 2000, he nabbed himself a Creative Loafing’s Critic’s Pick “Best of” award in the category Best Video Artist. He’s also the brain behind the great-but-departed comic strip Fried Society.

I haven’t seen the show, but the premise is great. More importantly, the preview clip is hilarious. No need to take my word for it. Watch the clip yo’ own damn self.

Chris Kelly is a friend of mine. If this show takes off and Chris becomes fabulously wealthy, I’m hoping for at least one weekend per year in his guest house.
