It’s a quaint, old-fashioned way of leaving the blog.

Y’all may have noticed that I have been uncharacteristically quiet the last few weeks — or not, considering how my fellow Metbloggers have been posting like crazy. And we’ve got more new folks, too! Welcome to Alex and Aradia.

So I feel comfortable excusing myself. The MARTA conversations, the restaurant reviews, and the slow humilations of Caren West and Chris Reitsma will continue without me. I was here when this blog got started, and it’s a sweet thing to see it hopping now.

And I don’t want to miss out on the fun; but sadly, there is a certain white-and-gold-themed Midtown institution that is demanding my time and attention towards its Science. And between the Science, the Tech-Trolley-to-MARTA convolutions, and the reduction in income that graduate school entails, there is little room at present for fun things like metblogging. Maybe once my schedule calms down I’ll be able to rejoin; but for now, y’all take care.

And if I get to say two last things:
1) Loyal Commentors, your hanging around is much appreciated. It lifts our spirits and keeps us wanting to write more.
2) I hope y’all listened to me when I was ranting about the Knitters playing at Masquerade last Saturday, because that was the best concert I have ever seen, ever.

I’ll miss your posts Jessica! I’ve sadly let my own blog dwindle down to nothing because I’m so busy, so I can understand. Good luck!
