For the Dogs

I took my dogs to Brewsterís on Peachtree in Brookhaven this week. Normally I order a plain vanilla scoop and let them share it, but always feel guilty for allowing them to indulge in such a bad treat. However, this location of Brewsterís is now giving away mini-scoops just for the dogs topped with a milkbone. They didnít even charge me for the two extra dog cups. Rufffffffff!

Um… all Brewsters have always done that for the doggies! Shame on Brewsterians for not letting you know this before!

So your dogs don’t get sick from it? I give them those frozen pup protein treats, but I wonder if they could handle Brewsters…

Yes, Brewsters is very generous with the doggie cups. Too bad my little poochie is on a diet right now! Lori, my dog has always handled the Brewsters cups just fine. I have also made homemade ice cream treats that all the dogs I know love. Here’s the recipe:

    32 oz. plain yogurt

    1 mashed banana

    2 T peanut butter

    2 T honey

Mix all these ingredients in your blender, then dump into ice cube trays, paper cups, or even a kong toy to freeze and serve.

Yogurt contains much less lactase than regular milk so it’s maybe easier on their tummies than regular ice cream…?
