I’m getting out of Atlanta . . . and going to Atlanta!

My My Yahoo! page is customized to display airfares and last-minute weekend getaway bargains. Usually the offers are places like Memphis or Dallas.

Today I got a “weekend getaway” titled Atlanta, GA: Room & Car — Magnolia Highway.

If it happens in the South, you can almost bet that it happened in Atlanta first (a local beverage called Coca-Cola was created here in the late 1800s). While Atlanta continues to break new ground in cuisine, fashion, and art–earning its reputation as the “New South”–its the city’s old, Southern charm and deep history that make it unique.

That sounds pretty nice. I’ll have to check that Atlanta place out one of these days. If I depart for Atlanta tomorrow, the trip will only cost $78 per person (Flight Not Included).
