We’re #6! We’re #6!
At least according to the latest Forbes magazine list of “Best Cities For Singles”. Hooray for us! By Forbes’ calculations we follow only
1. Denver-Boulder
2. Boston
3. San Francisco
4. Raleigh-Durham
5. Washington-Baltimore
Now if I can only find out where the attractive-single-women who like men-who-recently-turned-40 hang out….
I heard that “back in the day” (about 1999) Harris Teeter was the place to pick up women. :D But I also heard it is closed now. :/
there is no way
Johnny’s Hideaway.
Assuming, of course, that the 40 y/o is into 60 y/o women.
I don’t trust lists like that. It’s so subjective.
What the shit is this Denver-Boulder hooey, like they’re in the same building of untucked button-down, wet-hair lofts?! They’re 30 miles apart! That’s like saying, “The singles scene is positiviely bitching in the Atlanta-Loganville area. Or Atlanta-Covington. Or Atlanta-McDonough. Or Atlanta-Woodstock.
Till, you’re dead-on with the grocery store schtick. See if you can borrow some friends’ toddler, stand in the frozen food aisle, and look lost/confused. You’ll have to fight off women with a bag of corn. Not that I ever borrowed a human child to try to score or anything …
These lists amuse me since they have absolutely no basis in reality (imo). I just thought it was funny. :)
The same people who were “Teetering” back in The Day are probably now scoping the scene at Johnny’s.
I call bullshit.
Having been both married and single in not only ATL but also the surrounding burbs, I can tell you flat out being single here sucks. I’m sure it sucks more in LA and less in NY, but I guess it just boils down to me thinking that list is wrong, wrong, wrong.
I’m living proof that being single in Atlanta sucks. I was even told that it was better to be a guy here because there were more single women than men.
