An idea

So, you know how cities build stadia and arenas for their athletic clubs because they supposedly bring in so much money? Well, according to Maxim “Atlanta has more nude clubs than any other city in America, and these businesses bring more employment, personal income, and state and local tax revenues to the city than the Braves, Hawks, and Falcons combined.” Now, put aside that the Hawks probably bring add little to that equation, but here’s my suggestion – let’s build an arena for the all the strippers exotic dancers in our fair city and charge an entrance for their performances. Or just setup the Georgia Dome for them.

Just a thought…

More $$ than that of sports arenas!… Wow! I never would have thought it. What does that say about our city?

It’s more like a loop. The sports teams generate money that they pay to the players, who then spend it at the strip clubs. It’s an ecosystem.

Do you have a link to that article in Maxim that says that Sex Clubs in ATL bring in more money than sports teams? I’d love to see how they figured that out.

Coley, unfortunately I don’t. It was in the issue with Nicole Hilton on the cover and was in the small two page spread talking about the anatomy of a strip club (called “Strippers Inc.”). I don’t have a subscription so I can’t link to the article :( Anyway, they didn’t talk about how they figured it out…
