Atlanta Bread Company questions
Forgive my ignorance, but what part of the Atlanta Bread Company has anything at all to do with Atlanta, other than the fact that it was started in Sandy Springs and has corporate headquarters in Smyrna? Any local favorite sandwiches, ingredients or local flair that I’m somehow missing?
Maybe I’m just bitter since the Curry Chicken Salad went the way of the dodo. Maybe I should take my business to the Atlanta Bread Company.
Yeah, there’s nothing particularly “Atlanta” about Atlanta Bread Company. If you’re going to pick a chain deli to go with, I would suggest Panera. Otherwise, go with Corner Bakery/Buckhead Bread Company, http://buckheadrestaurants.com/cc.html, it’s pretty darn good.
Yum I agree that Corner Bakery is the best if you’re looking for that kind of chain-y bakery food. I don’t particularly care for Panera or ABC, but for a quick lunch they are okay. Corner Bakery has my absolute favorite sandwich in the world- Chicken Pomodori: Sliced chicken breast, fresh basil and spinach, oven roasted tomatoes, and provolone cheese with pesto mayonnaise. It is a panini, too. However, their location in Perimeter Mall closed down a few weeks ago and I am bummed.
