Another Victory For ‘Big Handsfree’

The city is considering a ban on the use of handheld mobile phones while driving.

Holding a phone does indeed distract people while they’re driving, but if driving safety is really the city’s paramount concern, how about also making it illegal to drive while eating food. I’ve read several reports rating eating as a much bigger road hazard than talking. While they’re at it, they should also ban applying makeup, shaving, or (my two biggest distractions) iPod browsing and yelling at talk radio hosts when they lie or mislead.

Gotta go, the light just turned green.
