Leather and Harmonicas

It’s rare for two events this big to be happening in Atlanta on the same weekend.

I’m of course talking about the Atlanta Harmonica Enthusiasts Meeting and Southeast Leatherfest.

Which events did you think I was talking about?

The Harmonica meeting promises, among other things, a demonstration of the art of “two-hole soloing.” Who would wanna miss that?

Southeast Leatherfest also promises educational opportunities. Scheduled workshops include Corporal Vs. Non-Corporal Punishment, Submissives In Leadership, The Way Of The Rope and Who’s Your Daddy: An Interactive Exploration Of The Daddy Concept. Check the schedule for more details.

I suspect if you stick around long enough you might also find some two-hole soloing.

I plan on attending both — in my capacity as a journalist, of course. I can’t play harmonica.

If you see me, be sure to walk up, say hi, and welcome me to the Metroblogging family.

If I have any time, I may also go see some live music. I hear there are some good bands in town this weekend.

Oh, thank God…I would’ve felt a little silly wearing my leather chaps to the VIBE MusicFest.
