Moo, not Boo! (…hopefully)

Tonight I ventured out into the cold to dine at the Cherokee Cattle Company in Marietta. Mysteriously enough, it’s a steakhouse, and although I didn’t order a steak, the people who did were sufficiently impressed. The place itself is loud and rustic, with plenty of people taking advantage of the $2 Margaritas and Texas license plates and taxidermy factoring prominently in the decorum.

I have to mentioned that I learned about this place from my younger brother and his college roommate who were playing at Open Mike night this evening. Cherokee Cattle Company hosts an Open Mike night every Monday, and while this was my brother’s first time there, it’s evidently pretty popular. In fact, if there are any other aspiring musicians in the house, here’s a great site with info on this and other Open Mike’s in the Atlanta area.
