game on
At some point I am going to put all my thoughts on Oakland Cemetery together. For now, a plug:
This weekend Batty’s Best Comics and Games, otherwise known as the place for metro boardgamers, is hosting Batty’s Best Game Fest at the Courtyard by Marriott near the LaVista Road I-285 exit. The entry fee is minimal, the rooms spacious, the people very nice (and up for teaching newbies), and the games (usually) discounted — which, if you know anything about board games, is a big plus, since many of them come from Europe and have had their prices raised by the strong euro.
I can’t be there, since I’m going out of town tomorrow, but it’s a good deal of fun, especially if you have kids in that 9- to 13-year-old age range. For more information call 770-938-1200.
I’m calling Ward Batty (owner of Batty’s Best and organizer of the games fest) to find out if they’ll be playing Navia Dratp. My wife just ordered the game last night. I’m a bit obsessed with it at the moment.

A side note: Ward Batty used to co-own Dr. No’s Books, Records and Comics in Marietta – the comic store I frequented growing up.
