Stevie’s restaurant review

Stevie visits Taverna Plaka
“Neighborhood of the Gods”

Dare I do a restaurant review? Heck yeah! See, I don’t go out to eat very often. I cook. Go figure. Cooking at home is just not done in Atlanta, but, I do. But, tonight, four of us got together and went to Taverna Plaka. 2196 Chesire Bridge Road, N.E. In the heart of “sin alley”. Pick a vice, it’s there.

So, here’s the rating:

Food: 4 out of 5. Very good. Nice portions.
Price: 3 out of 5. Not too bad. about $13.00 entrees.
Wait staff: 5 out of 5. Very helpful.
Atmosphere: Loud and energetic. Sometimes you’ll see table dancing from the Greeks. Really.
Hot chick rating: 3.5 out of 5. A few hotties were there. They looked expensive.
Hot guy rating: 3 out of 5. A few studs were walking about but, they looked tired. Maybe their credit cards were maxed out.
Valet parking: Yes. Average tip: $3.00
Helper in the restroom to turn on your water, squirt soap in your hand and give you paper towels: Yes. Average tip: $3.00. If he had turned off the water for me I would have given him $4.00. Maybe.
Had a good time rating: 4 out of 5. Yeah, it’s a good place. Go try it out.

Dude-sin alley. I know it well. Pass through on my way to opera chorus rehearsals at Morningside Presbyterian. I’m always disturbed by the corner where the shop dedicated to kid’s furniture-or clothing, I can’t recall-looks directly across the street at ‘Hot Southern Nights’ or such-like. Gotta love da south for such things, no?
