Just an Introduction
Hey y’all, I’m Steve Huff, and I live in the historic Roswell district. Ten miles down from the Big Chicken in Marietta (pronounced locally as ‘May-retta’ just so you know,) and a few odd miles from downtown.
I moved to Georgia 4 years ago from New Albany, Indiana, which I am fairly certain will never have it’s own metroblog, but originally hail from Nashville, Tennessee.
I sing with the Atlanta Opera as both a chorister and soloist, and also Capitol City Opera as a soloist, frequently at their “Dinner With a Diva” nights held at Petite Auberge on North Druid Hills Road in the Toco Hill Shopping Center. Presently I slave away in the massive media library at Crawford Communications for my daily bread, as singing still only brings in the monthly or semi-monthly bling.
I link the above not only because they are a part of my personal everyday, but because there really are some rather refined activities going on on occasion here in the land of the Big Chicken, peaches, football, trucks, and uh…football.
I promise to not link the Big Chicken in every entry I make. One cannot help but find Monolithic Flightless Barnyard Fowl amusing on occasion.
I have 4 children and a step-child between two different marriages and tend to be much more restrained in my writing than this.
And that’s enough for now, an Angus Beef Burger from the Burger King on Pleasantdale, hard by Spaghetti Junction, is calling my name.
BTW, ‘fore I go-my own website is www.planethuff.com/steve. It was down for the last 3 days but is up and kicking again, thanks to my wife Dana.
When I was originally trying to set up an Atlanta megablog with a separate group of people last fall, my proposed name for said blog was Damn Big Chicken.
Oh man-I can picture the .jpg in my head-that big looming long necked monster chicken, it’s one glassy staring eye…hey. I need to not turn this into a monster movie in my mind, I’m thinking.
