June 25, 2008 – 10:07 pm I author a somawhet local blog about Phoenix area real estate. I recently launched a truly hyper-local blog about a small portion of Scottsdale (focusing on literally 6 square miles of a 100+ square mile city), where admittedly I live and have my real estate office. Going hyper-local was a challenging decision. I expect readership to be significantly lower, but at the same time, if executed well, each reader will be pure gold. The hyper-local blog has far less key word competition, and if my larger audience blog can be used as a guide, it should dominate the key words I’ll focus on very quickly.
