i have some friends that absolutely swear by this experience, including, maigh, our mutual friend jessica w. they literally go see this every single time it plays at the plaza.

i have so far resisted every attempt to get me to go see it, but i feel like i only can hold out for a little while more.

i am currently using the "too many hipsters there" excuse.

Definitely the EW article got me interest.

It isn't torture. It is awesome. I spent half the movie with my mouth wide open in disbelief, and the rest of the time laughing. I have spent the last two days re-playing scenes and looking up more about the movie.

Tommmy Wiseau, the writer/director/producer/executive producer (he is billed twice)/star, is so absolutely bizarre it defies description. La novia is beginning to think that he is really a mad genius who is faking the whole Tommy Wiseau/foreign weirdo thing. I disagree, but the point is that the movie is so incredible we are still debating it two days later.

Every single aspect of the movie is awful - and yet, the whole thing is so earnest that I can't believe it is intentionally awful. Every scene, every line, every cut scene, the set pieces, every piece of the "plot", the finale.... EVERYTHING is just a mess. I've been re-watching scenes on youtube all day. I'm obsessed.

I have to ask - what was it you read that sparked your interest, and why would I spend my hard earned cash to be tortured? I do that every time I see a "normal" move and sit in front of/behind some JA that can't use his inside voice let alone a whisper.

C'mon...tell, tell!
