I recommend for things Atlanta historical. My buddy behind that site is continuing to grow it with old newspaper photos & photo-essays, posts & essays on articles & books, and a user forum.

I can’t take credit for the books – I found em clicking through Christa’s post. But it did remind me of how useful google books is when doing research – no need to go to the library!
