Public transportation has a lot going for it and is the perfect place for people watching. Atlanta's Marta train cars are the best I've seen for people watching. The seats face 'every which way'. The stops are frequent and there is a lot of coming and going. Much of the lines I'm on, Inman\Reynolds to 5, then north on the Doraville line, have great views and light.

That commute and the walk to and from the stations is often the best part of my day.

Peidmont Park and Little 5 Points. I also really like watching people at restaurants. Especially if they appear to be on a date. I try to figure out how well the date is going based strictly on their body language.
