We happened to be out at the vortex (aside - talk about a place jumping the shark - this place was a suburban nightmare. more cokes and sweet teas than beers being ordered on a saturday night), so nothing was on in the house. I would never bother going unplugging things though - that's just silly....the only things that consumes any significant power in idle mode is a refrigerator. I guess I sortof observed it by accident.
