There are a couple of good indie coffee spots in Tucker: Mighty Joe’s at the intersection of Lawrenceville Hwy and Hugh Howell Rd, and Alcove, now in its new location next to the Mellow Mushroom near Northlake Mall (just around the corner from the new Movie Tavern).

Local shops that come to mind:
Method Coffee at Oxford and N Decatur (Emory Village)
(it’s been there a while but definitely worth the tasting – Oakhurst)
Rise N Dine (Emory Village) has a really shiny copper espresso machine and a good vibe.
