shameless political plug

okay, i am going to just go ahead and admit this is a shameless plug and anticipate your flames. that being said, one of the benefits of getting to write here is that every now and again i can plug things i believe in.

i have been a supported of sen john mccain since his campaign imploded this year for a whole host of reasons (which i won’t go into here but you can read about it here if you care.

anyway, you probably know that super-duper tuesday is coming up next week of which georgia is a part and john is currently leading in the polls for the republican primary and will be making a campaign stop for a rally here tomorrow. john will be at a rally at the cobb energy center at 5:30 pm. no tickets required just rsvp here, we’d love to see you, especially if you are an undecided republican primary voter ;-)

okay, that’s it. shameless plug over, flame away, and i will get back to posting about marta.

You are evidently off of your medications,or a believer in monarchy,I would prefer it to be the first. If,by chance,it be the second, might I suggest moving to England to have the benefit of their police state….The only, and I repeat ONLY clear choice is Dr. Ron Paul, the rest are more of the same that we have had for the last 80 years. My guiding principle is the Constitution, what pray tell is yours?more than likely the communist manifesto……..

You know, this post makes me wonder what the political makeup of the average Atlanta Metblog reader is. . . .

I am also thinking this is not the post that you were talking about writing in my Marta post.

hah! no annie it’s not. i actually wrote this post just to see what fun stuff the ‘ron paul army’ would come up with.

    communist manifesto is pretty good….

It does say something about Mr. Paul that he seems to be the candidate of choice for blog spammers everywhere.

    James,

Griftdrift, an underrated moderate blogger had some interesting thoughts about your candidate of choice.

man! metblogs is waayyy more fun when commenters get firey! race AND politics in one day — who’s posting on religion? :)

My two cents – None of the candidates really interest me so far. I never understood the people who said they didn’t know who they were going to vote for …. but that’s sort of the boat I’m in this year. Ron Paul is interesting, especially for the rabid dedication he’s inspired in people. McCain seems like a viable candidate, but can you picture the debates between him and Obama?

Does anyone know anything about the Libertarian party candidates?

Speaking of McCain, check out this insanity…

Btw James, we need to grab a beer soon, and I’m looking forward to your upcoming post you mentioned in Annie’s thread.

Thanks for the heads up. I may make it out there (although I’m still voting for Obama.

The Cobb Energy Center is not only barely in Cobb, it’s inside the perimeter!!

you got it reco, though i’ll grab a soda. i am still struggling to get the post up. real work interferes..

Ron Paul is why the Libertarian Party can never get any traction. They have a lot of good points, but many times look like loons making them.

Libertarians are idiots, plain and simple. So are McCain supporters for that matter.

  15. Roxie (unregistered) on February 2nd, 2008 @ 7:48 am

Ron Paul supports states rights…and I remember how that worked out so well for the minorities last time.

I’m voting McCain tomorrow, and will wait to see who shows up in November.

    Good luck!

i think mccain is a good guy too, but nobody cares that you think, douchebag, so stop posting about it.

  18. james (unregistered) on February 5th, 2008 @ 10:17 am

thanks, barney. i was starting to get annoyed that this post hadn’t really attracted any flames.

but then "swthuta" called me an idiot and you called me a douchebag.

    i feel completely redeemed.
