alright, greg, fair enough, but give some credit where credit is due. for this franchise to even be THINKING playoffs at the end of december and to be one game above .500 is huge progress. and maybe they will get creamed by the west, but i watched them take down the mavs and the suns. i think on a good night this team is capable of beating anyone but the celtics.

Just wait. The collapse will come. Best case scenario – they’ll almost make the playoffs this years, you’ll spend all off season hoping they make the changes to get over the hump next year, and then they stink all over again.

Anyhoo, it’s easy to say “a clear route to the playoffs” in December, come back in March/April and see if it’s the same, but that said, the Eastern Conference, and indeed the Southeast Division, is so weak they will prolly back into the playoffs. They’d get creamed and smeared in the West
