it’s damn hot.

my coworkers and i just got done running three miles outside our office in sleepy alpharetta and i have to say that it is damn hot out there.

and yes we are crazy.

temps peaked at 99 degrees yesterday, 1 degree shy of the record.

we’re forecasted to hit 98 today and today’s record is 101. i think it’s do-able. life rocks in an urban heat island.

are the rest of you surviving the heat?

Besides the heat the Air Quality Index is through the roof. (http://www.gadnr.org/epd/air/tmp/today/amp_AQI.html#atlanta)

My wallet is crying, but I’m happy I got the AC fixed in the car.

In Chicago we hide inside in the winter. In Atlanta we hide inside in the summer.

Albany (that’s “Al-Benny” to you furners) hit 106 today. Augusta hit 104. Looks like we’ll see 100+ here in the big city by end of week.

a/c is the greatest creation known to hot cities. if someone can make one that’s green, I’ll buy it in a heart beat.
