mv pleads ng.

not that this is any surprise, but michael vick and his co-defendents have pled not guilty to all the charges in the federal indictment against them (ajc here.)

vick’a attorney made a the usual ‘we’re going to prove he is innocent of these horrible charges’ statements on the courthouse steps and mv’s mom was there to show support.

it’s almost part of the high-profile trial script now.

perhaps the only surprising piece of news was the government’s announcement it would enter a ‘superceding indictment’ suggesting that more charges may be filed.

the court of public opinion is also pretty heavily turning against vick, with even the criminal records weekly newsletter bringing it up….

    So, trying very hard not to be snarky* here, but what is the deal with this post? Was it written from a blackberry or something? Can we not spell out ‘Not Guilty’? Is ‘ng’ some sort of common legal abbreviation that I have never heard before ever in my life?

    Also, would some capitalization kill anyone? I know it is “teh interwebs” and what not, but on a quasi-professional blog it seems like a pretty basic minimum requirement.

    * Obviously failing. Sorry.

    I’m totally getting shades of OJ and Michael Jackson from this vis a vis the criminal trial of a high profile black man and the racial issues that go along with it.

    BlackBerry is a registered trademark and both the first and second b are capitalized.
