All-You-Can Eat Seats

While at the Braves game on Friday (for Friday Night Fireworks…a real treat since I heart fireworks), my boyfriend pointed out the new All-You-Can-Eat Seats. Yes, for one flat price, you can enjoy an Upper Level seat with unlimited baseball fare like peanuts, hot dogs and popcorn, or you can upgrade to a Lexus Level seat and chow on BBQ and Budweiser. Since concessions at Turner Field are so pricey, at first it kinda made sense to me. But when I actually started thinking about how much food you’d have to eat to get your money’s worth ($25 for the “Ballpark Favorites” and $60 for the “BBQ & More” package), it just grossed me out.

Learn more about snagging these sure-to-be-popular seats.

Ha! I was there friday too (I keep telling everybody that friday night fireworks at the Ted are as good as any July 4th show) and had every intent on giving The Thing a call.

I look at it this way, the tickets that I had cost roughly 16 bucks and I paid like 12 bucks for a hot dog and a drink. The seat is paid for right there. I’m just scared these dudes that I routinely see getting carried out of the park are going to exploit it to the annoyance of everyone around them (til they pass out that is).

Now that I think of it, I think the wave broke out – with an incredible amount of provocation – friday from the all you can eat section. If there were ever a reason to think it was a bad idea…

You can’t forget the cost of the tickets when considering the price of the package. You don’t need to eat $60 of BBQ to get your money’s worth, because that $60 comes with a ticket to the game.

but you still need to consume 22 bucks worth of food to get your €$€$ worth.

the other day i bought two beers and a slice of pizza and spent 20 bucks.

now, with all you can drink beer, well, I would cause the entire stadium to lose money that night…

I guess I was thinking that it would take a lot of BBQ to get my money’s worth because we snagged a great deal on seats (less than $10 a seat for Lexus Level) and I don’t drink beer. But yes, with a full-price seat and a thirst for beer, I guess it wouldn’t be such a bad deal. Especially if you’re hungry.
