The Indie Craft Experience

Annie just posted about this, but I have this little flyer, so I’m posting too. The Indie Craft Experience (ICE) this weekend was called one of Atlanta’s five great cultural events of the year by Creative Loafing. Daily Candy singled it out as the thing to do this weekend in Atlanta. It’s gonna be rad.

Rad it was. Loads of nice folks with great talent (and even better – humor), and I left with wallet (new, not the once I arrived with), earrings, a cat toy and a new keyring.

Thanks to Annie for the tip!

It was okay. Nice people with nice enough wares. A couple with some real talent.
Didn’t occupy us for more than 40 minutes.

It would be nice to post these things before the day of. I’ve noticed this trend on Metroblog — why not post the day before (esp when that’s a friday and people are killing time at work looking for something to do over the weekend)

In this case, it was posted the day before, by Annie. I chimed in because I found I had an electronic version of the flyer and because I wanted to double-plug the event, since my wife was a vendor at the show.

In general, though, you’re certainly right that we would do well to post this stuff earlier than we do.

yeah that’s what i mean just earlier (annie’s post was at 8pm — when most people are already in “weekend” mode). I’m not trying to ride you too hard, just a friendly suggestion

You do realize we don’t get paid to do this…right? We do it in our free time, just like when you surf. Sometimes that’s 8pm.

    *shrug*

    Still worked for me.

I do realize that — but then not everyone can post either. Like I said it was a suggestion — take it or leave it — not trying to start a war.
