		<description>30th Atlanta Jazz Fest: Bobby Hutcherson&#039;s set on Sunday was awesome, the only straight-ahead jazz I heard all weekend :(

Herbie was disappointing -- kind of a blah, fusiony set of tunes with lack-luster performances all around. Last time I saw him was a trio date at Variety Playhouse back in 1999 which was miraculous.

The crowds were *huge* and everybody I encountered was playing nice. Overall, a kick-butt festival. Next year... how about more jazz?
