Delta – A new flight level

I’ve been on a couple of Delta flights this last weekend and I’ve noticed everyone at the ticket counters and on the planes were smiling a bit more – seriously. Our home town airline has come out of bankruptcy and I’m glad of it. I know there were many reasons that caused Delta to go there but, I’m happy they are out. The employees seemed to have a relieved look on their faces. Now, you might even get to see some new faces if the money tracks well.

Since Delta is my first choice airline, I’ve talked to a number of employees and I think they will be happy to see some new faces.

Basically, I just wanted to give a “shout out” to Delta. Rock on!

Oh, and check out the new vertical tail design. Kick’n.

I’m glad Delta’s out of bankruptcy. Maybe the next time I or somebody traveling with me has medical emergency near a Delta gate, they won’t be more interested in boarding the flight than helping me out.

I just flew Delta to Milan and I must say it was one of the better Delta flights I’ve been on. Friendly attendants, a sleeping mask and some earplugs, a snack of Haagen Das and one free cocktail in coach. And the leg room was OK and I had a spot for my carry on in the overhead bin. And the food was pretty decent too. And they now have Fresca!

Maybe they learned that if you put people on a plane for 9 hours you need to provide some service.

It’s good to see our friendly neighborhood national airline not only come out of bankruptcy, but go international. I figure with the dollar on the way out, all those tourists will need someone to carry them here.

The Web 2.0 paint scheme doesn’t impress me, though, except for the blue engine covers. Are we supposed to click on the plane as it flies over?

The dollar might be going out but no one is coming here. We’ve been voted the unfriendliest worldwide travel destination and our tourism industry is seriously hurting.

The only people who are still excited are the people who are willing to put a euro fuelled bargin shopping spree up again the chance of accidental arrest due to a homeland security oversight. The Hong Long dollar is hurting too and they have better luxury stores!

Uh I meant Hong Kong dollar — the Hong Long dollar never has a problem!
