Awesome! I think you are the first person who actually went and checked it out. It is pretty cool, and not what you think of when you traditionally think of Atlanta.

This is so cool. Just last week a friend in Atlanta was telling me how a friend of his and spotted this building, and being a novice Buddhist, I wanted to find it. Since I was visiting the SO this weekend, I made plans to go looking. A little driving took us right to it. Take Moreland Avenue south from I-285, drive to the second light (I think it is Conley Rd), turn left. Just before you pass under I-675, the temple is on the left. This temple is charming and is definitely a labor of love for the people who use it.

Kortez, I believe that is the old Archives building. Not sure of the exact name of it, but they moved the location to Morrow, I think. http://www.archives.gov/southeast/

I have always thought it was kind of stupid to move it, because if someone comes in to Atlanta to do research, why move them out of the downtown area, where so much more is accessible and there is so much more to do, and make them go out to Morrow?

Anyway, now that you know it is an archives building, the no windows makes sense. Just makes you wonder what anyone else on earth would want to use it for. . .

Not sure, JB, but it is close to an exit off 675, so I am guessing that would the exit to take if you were to go exploring. And if you are exploring, i am sure you will take pictures and share them with us, right? :-)

If you're going to comment on being despised by someone, at least know how to spell them. Normally I'd let spelling go but, sheesh, it was only like one of the MOST important words in your missive. Or maybe you learned to spell from the "ying yang twins."
