Atlanta Burning Again?

Nope, it was just the smoke from the Georgia Forestry Commission’s controlled forest burn in Jasper County, near Monticello, wafting over us. I brought my children inside after the smoke became heavy over East Atlanta. I realize the need for these controlled burns, but did anyone have any trouble with asthma attacks last night or today? It was pretty windy yesterday – seems like not the best time for burning large areas of forest, but then, I’m no forestry expert.

seems like they would pay attention to which way the wind is blowing when they do these things. wait til it’s a southerly breeze, there’s nothing down there…right?

Beans, it did seem a little odd. . . . and yes, as far as I know, all that exists in GA is Atlanta. Or at least it seems like a different world from the rest of GA.
