Kvetching In Town
I love living in town. I do. I love being able to walk from home to a restaurant or a bar, to the grocery store if I’m truly inspired or even ::gasp:: to the office.
What I don’t love is walking/running on The Path at night with all the lights burned out. I don’t love running through Inman Park, L5P or the Highlands and wounding my knees because of lumpy sidewalk paving slabs. I don’t love people hauling ass down my barely-wide-enough-for-parked-cars-and-one-lane-of-traffic street.
The bright side? I’ve found the place to
bitch about it report these items where my voice might actually be heard – and it’s all in once place!

Thanks for the link, as a frequent pedestrian myself, I’ll be bitching too!! Marta buses on the “barely-wide-enough-for-parked-cars-and-one-lane-of-traffic street” are even worse than cars…
try running in alpharetta sometme.
@ George – NP! :)
@ James – Did that for 5 years. Barf-o-riffic.
Cool link, thanks. The bumpy sidewalks – usually those hexagonal blocks lifted by tree roots – are a real danger at night on a dim-lit street, and a huge pain in the booty when I’m trying to push my son around in a stroller.
